Green Afghanistan Agriculture and Livestock Organization (GAALO) is a non-government, non-political and non-profit organization. The organization is established in 2006 and registered with ministry of economy since 2009.
GAALO is committed to identify new and innovative approaches to meet the needs of its target groups. Our work focuses on identifying the most critical and challenging problems, develop successful strategies, build effective institutions and create efficient delivery mechanisms. We base our programs on facts and data, not mere assumptions.
The core team of GAALO consists of highly qualified professionals having many years of work experience in the development and research sectors. GAALO utilizes the services of a vast group of professionals from a variety of disciplines.
Since the establishment, GAALO has strived to become one of the leading Afghan NGOs capable of rendering services in agriculture and livestock, health and education, training and capacity building, empowerment and community development, democracy support and good governance, and responsive at the time of emergency needs. The professionalism, hard work, strong commitment and perpetual efforts toward rendering demand driven services and the trust of donor agencies has helped in transformation of GAALO into a leading Afghan NGO.
GAALO has implemented projects of Agribusiness Services, Agriculture and Livestock trainings, Project evaluation and assessments, Media and communication training, Hotel and hospitality trainings and Job creation programs.
GAALO has not only executed projects with government institutions but also has strong working background with international NGOs e.g. ADT-US Army, Provincial PRTs, US-Marines Helmand, CERP Kandahar, HLP- MAIL/World Bank, IRD/ KFZ (USAID)- Grant, IRD/ ACAP-II (USAID) Grant, Chemonics/FAIDA/ USAID- Grant etc
